There are actually a lot of different opinions regarding this event. Some people are exceeding happy that Kevin Rudd is finally back in power. On the other hand, some other people are not too happy about the replacement. Personally, I don't really have an opinion on the leadership spill itself, but it super huge news-- everyone seems to know all about it- even the people who aren't able to vote. And everyone seems to have an opinion.
Honestly, I think that the dire circumstances that the Labor Party is currently in may have been a factor in Kevin Rudd's ascent to power. From the leadership polls, it was almost certain that Labor would lose to the Liberals in the incoming elections. When the poll asked whether more people would vote for Labor if Kevin Rudd was the leader, the result came out positive. Therefore, with all the evidence combined, it seemed pretty practical for all the Labor Party members to vote in Kevin Rudd as Prime Minister, in a desperate bid to win the elections. After all, it is their job on the line, and politics is essentially everyone for their own.
