-Watch anime
-Maintain this blog
-Constantly post interesting posts (who knows, maybe I'll do some more manga re-edits
again)
-Finish writing those reviews (gosh, how long am I going to keep people waiting? haha)
-Keep up to date on the anime forum I've joined- can't let myself be an inactive turtle now, can I?
-Finish that Code Geass trailer I've been meaning on finishing from last holiday
-Make some more videos- because I've just got all this extra time on my hands now
-Read all those books I've been meaning to read
Well... that's not entirely everything- I've still actually got to do a ton of work as well on top of that:
-Practice piano (making up for the entire year's worth of non-practicing)
-Work on my EE
-Amongst other things (bleh)
But you know, like there's going to be such a high chance of me doing those. Especially since I'm actually going to be flying out the day after my birthday to Singapore! Yay!
Now I know that there are a lot of stereotypical views on grandparents and their houses. I've heard of one where the grandma actually makes cookies and so forth, and spends most of her time crocheting on the rocking outside on the porch. (Did I forget to mention that the house doesn't contain any high tech goods?)
Well, let me outline a few differences between that idyllic view and mine. First and foremost, one of the major difference revolves around the Grandma- my Grandma does not sit outside on a rocking chair and crochet. In fact, I've never seen that happen- she is the most active Grandma I've ever met. Every time we're there, she basically takes us out all day- it's actually gone to the point that whilst both my Mom and I are exhausted, she still super active and energetic. Even during the days when we spend just some quality time at the house, she's got so many activities that she goes to throughout the day. It's great!
Another point: she....doesn't really make cookies. The thing about my Grandparents that you'll have to understand is that because my Grandpa is a working businessman, he actually has a lot of important businesses associates that are always giving him gifts of everything and anything (okay, predominantly sweets or jewellery if it's over some sort of meal). So, whenever we come and visit, there's already an abundance of sweets that I guess Grandma doesn't really need to bake or make any. Besides.......they also have a live-in domestic helper (a "maid" if you want to put it in a blunt way- just don't want to get any extreme human rights activist fired up) so she actually doesn't need to cook if she doesn't want to (she generally will help out anyways).
Another thing: the whole "no-technology-in-house" thing? Totally does not apply at all to my Grandparents house. There's a TV, with a DVD player in every single room in the house (this is predominantly due to the fact that my Grandma likes watching TV shows). Not to mention, in the study bedroom, there's also a completely working computer and printer.
Ah, the study bedroom...I can just practically spend my entire life living in that room- it's that great. You see, apart from the normal things you'd find in a study room (books, desk, lamp, chair, computer, printer), it also acts as a bedroom, complete with an en-suite, bed, and TV (with a DVD player). See? It has everything I need to stay happy xD
Forgot to mention an important factor, but with a working computer, one would also assume that there's also wi-fi available (yay, mooching time for my iDevices haha)
*sigh* just thinking about it makes me happy haha- especially the thought that I'll be going so soon!
