Whenever I go 'grocery shopping', apart from the groceries, a large portion of such groceries comprise of all sorts of junk food: cookies, chocolate, chips..as I pick them up in amounts sufficient enough to feed a large household, I feel as though the people who stare at my basket are severely judging my food choices.
Unlike the occasional teenagers who appear on candy runs, the fact that my basket contains a few apples, and maybe a lettuce throws them off. What type of lifestyle are you even leading?!
To some extent, I feel an immense pressure never to buy such junk food when I go to groceries, simply because of all the stares (and the fact that I really shouldn't be eating that much anyways). Yet at the same time, a part of me thinks that if I don't buy them, I'm going to regret not buying them for the rest of this week.
I never thought grocery shopping could be such a conflicting, borderline stressful activity haha.
