It's really interesting to see by reading these emails how age can really change how you interpret the events that occur around you and how you react to certain actions.
I find it amazing, if not slightly disconcerting, that my view on humanity seems to be becoming progressively more and more critical as I get older. But maybe that's why there's that phrase "childhood innocence". As a child, you're not really aware of a lot of things, and I think that being ignorant in this way is actually what develops into so-called "innocence". Besides, I think that as we progress through every stage in life, there are certain qualities of that particular phase that we will inevitably emulate to a certain extent. Not necessarily because we want to, but it's just simply how our minds develop and adapt to our exposure to the world around us and the paths we choose to walk in our attempt to "live".
