Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: Crystal
Tsukino Usagi is a clumsy crybaby, but otherwise very cheerful 8th grade student. One day she meets a cat named Luna with a crescent moon on her head, and is transformed into the sailor-suited guardian of love and justice, Sailor Moon! As a chosen guardian of justice, Usagi has a mission … to find her comrades; to find the Phantom Silver Crystal; and protect the Princess. However, Queen Beryl of the Dark Kingdom also seeks the terrible power of the Silver Crystal, and sends her agents into the city where Usagi lives; triggering the start of a fierce battle.
Pre-Thoughts:
I'm really excited to see how my childhood anime is going to be revamped; especially since Japanese animation techniques, equipment and styles have undergone such a significant change since the original release (I'm guessing that all the characters are going to look like they undertook plastic surgery). I am slightly worried that I may find the episodic progress stifling to sit through, but despite this, I'm super duper curious to see the remake!
Free! Eternal Summer
Basically, it's the second season of Free! Iwatobi Swim Club.
Pre-Thoughts:
Hmm....well, I guess if I'm looking for some female fan-service and light-hearted humour, this is what I'll be watching! xD
With the limited plot summary, I can't really think up a lot of thoughts in relation to how I think this anime will turn out. Hopefully, Rin (aka shark-teeth guy) will come back to their team~
Sword Art Online II
Sequel to Sword Art Online, featuring the next arc "Phantom Bullet".
Pre-thoughts:
Okay. To all those hardcore SAO fans out there reading this, I'm sorry (not really actually) about what I'm about to say, but please don't rage on me.
Personally, I don't think that it's going to turn out very well. Not because the producers are not going to do the light novels justice, but just simply because, as good as the story is, the arc is just not appealing to me. Of course, I could be proven wrong, and the story could turn out great, but even with the first season of Sword Art Online, I only really enjoyed the first arc- I didn't really like the ALfheim arc. You see, I think that as short as it was, the conclusion of the first arc was what I would've defined as a good enough ending. I didn't like how producers dragged the series on and on by replacing the antagonist (who was just....gross, not even antagonist-worthy) and use Asuna as....Well, I won't spoil it, but in any case, these are just my thoughts.
Also, call me judgmental/shallow-minded/whatever, but I just don't like Kirito with long hair. Just no. HE LOOKS LIKE A GIRL.
